Today, the C28 Business Alliance took a significant step towards enhancing safety along the 28th Drive corridor. We deployed a C28-branded solar-powered 24-hour camera trailer, generously donated by Koro BAS, one of our dedicated member businesses. This initiative underscores the Alliance’s commitment to creating a safer, more unified community.
The newly installed camera unit, prominently wrapped with C28 branding, will provide continuous surveillance, offering a much-needed “eye on the street” that will help deter crime and ensure a safer environment for businesses and residents alike. This technology will be leveraged in collaboration with the Phoenix Police Department and Omega Protective Services, a security firm scheduled to begin a shared security operation on September 1st.

Koro is a Fijian word for “Village” and Koro BAS was founded on the premise of using our village of members, partners and customers to solve business technology problems. Koro provides Building Automation Services and turnkey cabling and camera solutions, including design, installation, migration, and maintenance.
These high quality streams provide a constant monitoring that supports the community’s efforts to crack down on crime in the area. It can be especially effective in known hotspots.
Now we know that no one single effort will resolve all the concerns of the community, but every effort helps shape and strengthen the community which we do believe will make lasting difference.
The C28 Alliance believes that this effort will serve as a catalyst for broader security initiatives and community transformation. By fostering partnerships with local law enforcement and private security, the Alliance aims to create a secure and thriving business ecosystem along the 28th Drive corridor.

AZ Restaurant Week
The AZ Restaurant Week, a bi-annual event, will take place from Friday, May 16th through Sunday, May 25th. 2025 Neighborhood Block Watch Grant Approved!
Exciting News — Our NBW Grant Was Approved! We’re excited to share that our 2025 Neighborhood Block Watch (NBW) Grant application has been officially approved by the City of Phoenix! 🎉 The C28 Business Alliance originally applied for $12,000 to support safety, unity, and community engagement efforts along 28th Drive. Although our application was initially declined due to a misunderstanding
Community Clean Up 2024
80 volunteers from different businesses, churches, and organizations came together to clean and landscape 28th Drive! In just 2 hours, the team was able to make their way from Cactus to Larkspur and clean 28th drive and the alley’s behind them.
