The C28 Business Alliance, Lake Biltmore Block Watch, and our newly formed Sahuaro Neighborhood Block Watch are coming together to host our community's 3rd Annual G.A.I.N. event this fall; and it's going to be the best one yet! Last year more than 800 neighbors came out to meet the people who keep our community running: local businesses, city agencies and first responders, all in one place.

What is G.A.I.N.?

Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods. It's a citywide effort led by the Phoenix Police Department that brings neighbors, block watches, city departments and local businesses together for safety, awareness and neighborhood unity. Neighborhoods across Phoenix host their own G.A.I.N. events each fall, and this is ours. Learn more about G.A.I.N. from the City of Phoenix.

This year we plan to have the following:

Last year more than 800 neighbors came out to meet the people who keep our community running: local businesses, city agencies and first responders, all in one place.

Meet the people who keep us safe

• Climb aboard a real fire engine with Phoenix Fire Station 33
• See the S.W.A.T. bomb squad robot up close
• Step inside Arrow Security's training simulator and see a call from the other side
• Shake hands with your officers from our own Cactus Park Precinct
• Bring your questions to the Neighborhood Services Department: the alley, the streetlight, the house down the block

For the kids (and the kids at heart)

• A petting zoo
• Face painting
• A rock climbing wall

Come hungry

Food trucks all evening

…and a few surprises we're not ready to announce yet.
